	MAALFA INSURANCE AND HEALTH CARE SERVICES was founded on January 15, 1986, (as per DTI Certificate of Registration of Business Name No. 86-01384) operating under the single proprietorship organization. Full operation actually began on September 16, 1986. It took advantage of the favorable economic condition ushered in by the People's power Revolution on February 1986. One of its aims is to foster better service to the growing number of its client. On June 26, 1989, MAALFA's application to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved its conversion from a single proprietorship to a corporation. Now known as MAALFA INSURANCE AND HEALTH CARE CENTER, INC., a general agent of life and non-life insurance companies and HMO's (Health and Maintenance Organization). The company arranges, packages and offers individual insurance policies and corporate group plans from only the most stable insurance companies at the best terms and competitive premium rates same time.

		SEC AND REGISTRATION

	MAALFA INSURANCE AND HEALTH CARE CENTER, INC. filed its Articles of Incorporations and By-Laws with the SEC on November 11,1988. The SEC have duly registered the Company with SEC Reg. No. 165086, dated 26^th June 1989. DTI Certificate of Registration for Business Name No. 96-068509 (Renewal) dated 19^th August 1996. The primary purpose for which the company was incorporated is quoted directly from its Articles of incorporation and reads as follows: "SECOND:That the purpose for which the said corporation is formed are: PRIMARY PURPOSE To engage generally as general agents for and in behalf of any domestic or foreign life or non-life insurance company or companies, including HMO or HealthCare and Pre-need companies to do business in the Philippines, and in pursuance thereof, to solicit and procure all kinds of life and non-life insurance and bonding business, including but not limited to fire, marine, personal accident, health and travel, casualty, aviation, floater, livestock, fidelity, surety, etc., by itself and/or though its authorized agents or sub-agents that it may engage for the purpose those various acts and things which are necessary, proper and/or incident to the purpose herein defined." The registration with the Bureau of Internal Revenue of the company, under the provisions of the NIRC on professional tax, was made under the classification of business as Insurance Agency. With Tax Identification No. 049-00-473-118 and BIR Certificate of Registration No. 7050-7-5-32A-89 issued on 12^th July, 1989. The company registered its Business Name with the Department of Trade and Industry under Bureau of Commerce Reg. No. 42600 issued on 6^th November, 1989.
